ACL Rural Radio Broadcasts
First & only smallholders site with its own Radio Show!- No pinching our ideas now!
Our very own simulated radio show with weekly guests
Welcome to ACL's very own Rural Radio- the only rural/ smallholding or self- sufficiency site to have its own radio show....another great idea from ACL! Thanks to Matts help from http://www.downshiftme.com we are now officially a podcast too!
Every week we will be putting together a great show that includes interviews with smallholders (urban and rural), downshifters and infact anyone who is embracing independence by being more self reliant wether they have a field and livestock or a window box and a chicken. As the weeks go by we will also be including seasonal hints and tips as well as live broadcasts from the kitchen as we do 'master classes' on a variety of subjects.
Coming soon- Our radio shows as a CD collection with extras!
Watch out for our weekly tip from Mr Thrifty as he tells us how to save money- some of his suggestions may seem outlandish but they really do work! Each broadcast will be kept as short as possible to enable those with dial up to download so we anticipate most shows to last no more than 20 minutes.
We hope that anyone with a PC and mic will send us their comments, hints and tips or even their event by sending us an audio file as an mp3 or wav. file to . Even if you are a bit shy why not send your written tip and we'll try and read it out in our next show!
Hope people will join in- it will be a real community thing!
